Omega Force spins their own tale of demon hunting in this open world sequel. Demons terrorize the land, and their limbs make for good clothing. Toukiden 2 held me longer than others in the genre by including a story; something to guide and give reason to your hunt. The demons come in all shapes and sizes, yet dispatching them doesn’t take more than patience and simple button combos. Weapons are varied and fun to use with each drastically changing the way you battle. The grappling hook adds spice to the mix, especially when it builds enough power to tear the horns of a giant demon. Co-op is the only way to play as the AI drains the fun out of your experience. The open world is fun to explore and side quests provide a good distraction. It doesn’t make up for the repetition which plagues this genre; grinding for materials is never fun.
